Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley to play April 13 Tulsa show on co-headlining “Locked & Reloaded Tour”

Tishomingo resident Miranda Lambert and fellow country music superstar Dierks Bentley have added a second Oklahoma show to their 2013 “Locked & Reloaded Tour.”
The co-headlining trek now will include a Saturday, April 13 concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center, the venue announced today. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. next Friday, Feb. 15 and will be available online at www.bokcenter.com, Arby’s Box Office, all Tickets.com outlets, or by phone at (866) 7-BOKCTR.
Tulsa tickets are priced at $27, $51.75 and $51.75.
Canadian country-folk performer Corb Lund will be the special guest at the Tulsa show.
As previously reported, the “Locked & Reloaded Tour” will include a March 8 Oklahoma City show at Chesapeake Energy Arena, 100 W Reno. Tickets for the Oklahoma City show went on sale back in November. Lee Brice will be the special guest for the OKC show. For information and tickets, go to www.chesapeakearena.com.
Also, Lambert and Bentley will perform together on the 55th Annual Grammy, airing live from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday on CBS. Previous Grammy winner Lambert has a nomination this year for Best Country Album for “Four The Record,” while Bentley has a nod for Best Country Solo Performance for “Home.” To read my full Grammy preview, click here.
In the “Locked & Reloaded Tour” announcement, Lambert promised her co-headlining trek with Bentley would involve “epic badassery.”
“Making music for our fans is the best job in the world,” Lambert said in the news release. “It’s especially great being able to take to that music on the road with someone I respect as an artist and human being.”
The singer-songwriter is the reigning two-time Country Music Association and reigning three-time Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year. Her current album, “Four The Record,” made history when it debuted last year atop Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, making the Texas native the first country artist in the 47-year history of the chart to have each of her first four albums debut at No. 1. “Four The Record” won the ACM Album of the Year Award, and her headlining “On Fire Tour” played to more than a million fans this year.
Co-written with her husband and fellow Tishomingo resident Blake Shelton, “Over You,” the emotional second single from “Four the Record,” earlier this month won the CMA Song of the Year trophy and was certified platinum for selling 1 million downloads.
Bentley combines classic country, bluegrass and rock ‘n’ roll in his music. The Arizona native’s sixth studio album “Home,” released in February, debuted at No. 1 and has spawned three chart-toppings hits, marking 10 career No. 1 singles for the multiplatinum singer-songwriter. His five previous studio albums have sold more than 5 million copies and earned him an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry.
“Some of my favorite times on tour over the years were with Miranda and her crew. We have a lot in common musically and our fans do too. It’s going to be a killer year,” Bentley said in the news release.
