Wednesday Video Spotlight: Miranda Lambert to perform on the Grammy Awards

Country music superstar Miranda Lambert, who lives in Tishomingo, announced Tuesday on CBS’ “The Talk” that she’ll perform live at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS.

The awards show will air Feb. 10.

“It means the world to have a nomination and perform,” she told “The Talk” hostesses. “It’s awesome and I’m so thankful to be a part of it.”

Lambert’s “For the Record” is nominated for Best Country Album alongside Vince Gill and The Time Jumpers for “The Time Jumpers,” Jamey Johnson for “Living for a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran,” Zac Brown Band for “Uncaged” and Hunter Hayes for “Hunter Hayes.”

Previously announced Grammy performers include the Checotah native Carrie Underwood, the Black Keys, Fun., Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift. LL Cool J returns as host.

Lambert and Dierks Bentley will bring their co-headlining “Locked and Reloaded Tour” to Oklahoma City’s Chesapeake Energy Arena on March 8. For more information, go to www.chesapeakearena.com.
