Carrie Underwood added to Grammy performers

Checotah native Carrie Underwood has been added to the list of performers for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.
Underwood announced her performance on next month’s Grammys with a tweet that was then retweeted and confirmed through the Grammys’ official Twitter feed (@TheGRAMMYs).
“I am so excited to be performing on @TheGRAMMYs on Feb 10, on @CBSTweet ! #TheWorldIsListening,” Underwood tweeted (@carrieunderwood).
The country superstar will join previously announced performers Black Keys, FUN., Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, and Taylor Swift.
Two-time Grammy winner LL Cool J will return as host of the awards show, which will air live from Staples Center in Los Angeles from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10 on CBS.
A five-time Grammy winner, Underwood is nominated this year for Best Country Solo Performance for the chart-topping title track to her 2012 album “Blown Away.”
