Celebrate Elvis Presley’s birthday with a special Art Moves demonstration from noon to 1 p.m. today at Leadership Square, 211 N Robinson.

Known for his paintings on velvet, Oklahoma City artist Trent Lawson will be working on a painting of Elvis on a velvet canvas in celebration of The King’s birthday. Trent is perhaps best known for his painting of Oklahoma City Thunder mascot Rumble atop the Devon Tower.

The Arts Council of Oklahoma City’s Art Moves program offers free hour-long lunchtime art events each weekday in and around downtown. The program provides free music and theater performances short film selections and visual arts demonstrations.
