Check out the newly released photo of Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) looking a bit worse for wear in “Iron Man 3.” According to HitFix.com, Marvel released as a “special holiday treat” for fans.
“Iron Man 3″ will open in theaters May 3. Here is the synopsis:
Marvel’s “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
Along with the return of Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Paul Bettany as the voice of Jarvis, the three-quel will add Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall and Oscar winner Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.
Although Jon Favreau will return to play Tony Stark’s pal and driver Happy Hogan, he stepped away from the director’s chair. “Iron Man 3″ is directed by Shane Black (who wrote the screenplay for “Lethal Weapon” and director Downey in 2005′s “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”), who also co-wrote the script.
As previously reported, the first trailer for “Iron Man 3″ debuted back in October. Here it is:
