Been going to TSO for the past 10 years. This is the one Christmas present that I look forward to. My first in DC. All the others in San Diego. This definitely felt like the B team. Plus the story!! It sucks!! I always left on a cheerful note but not this year. Baby brain dead, mom dies, business man at a hotel. Story sucks. I’m sorry but it did. Just like the people before me posted, I completely agree. Wife and I left after 90 minutes. Actually I wanted to leave much earlier but wanted to give it a try. Didn’t work. Truly disappointed. Production felt like it was on a low end budget and I was not impressed with the music and I love TSO.

Depressing Story!!! The original show was a Christmas tradition with us; we’ve seen it every year for the last 12 years. This new production is terrible! The mother hemorrhages to death, the mentally stunted baby is placed in an institution….REALLY? This is not Christmas joy! We left depressed, not uplifted; and angry that we spent $200 for the concert. What happened to the pyrotechnics? Looks like they were trying to cut back on expenses. Huge disappointment and waste of money.

Not impressed at all. Several times during the performance I was actually bored. My wife kept laughing at the rediculiness of the story as well as the gayness of the performance. We left wondering if the girl dancers left with a headache. They basically flipped their hair left and right the majority of the 2.5 hours.
