Superstar country band Rascal Flatts, which includes Picher-bred guitarist Joe Don Rooney, will appear on E!’s “Chelsea Lately” and NBC’s “The Voice” on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, to celebrate the release of their DVD project, “Rascal Flatts: All Access & Uncovered.” The DVD will be available on Monday.
This cinematic project debuted in movie theaters across the country in a one-night-only event in conjunction with their “Changed” album release in April. The DVD includes exclusive performance footage of some of their biggest hits and new music from “Changed,” as well as in-depth personal interviews from the road and inside the home studio of Jay DeMarcus, where the album was recorded.
Rascal Flatts is the best-selling country vocal group of the past decade, and the No. 1 debut of their new release, “Changed,” earned them the distinction of being one of only four acts to have seven consecutive studio albums debut in the top spot on the Billboard Country Albums chart during the Soundscan era.
Since their musical debut in 2000, the band has sold more than 21 million albums, 25 million digital downloads and delivered 14 No. 1 singles to the top of the charts. Rascal Flatts is the most awarded country music group of the past decade, earning more than 40 trophies from the American Country Awards (ACAs), the Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs), the American Music Awards (AMAs), the Country Music Awards (CMAs), the People’s Choice Awards and more. They are currently nominated for two American Music Awards and four American Country Awards.
Rascal Flatts will extend the Farmers Insurance Presents “Changed Tour” into 2013, kicking off a winter leg on Jan. 10 with special guests The Band Perry. As previously reported, the tour will include a Jan. 18 concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center. For more information, go to www.bokcenter.com.
