Rascal Flatts is one of the hottest touring acts in any genre of music, selling more than 7 million concert tickets in their career, and with this weekend’s wrap of the Farmers Insurance Presents “Changed Tour,” 1 million of those were from fans attending shows in this year alone.

The superstar country trio, which includes Picher-bred guitarist Joe Don Rooney, began the year with its“Thaw Out 2012” tour adding 47 additional dates on the Farmers Insurance Presents “Changed Tour” to bring the 2012 year-end total to just more than 60 concerts.

Their performances were enthusiastically received by the fans and critics alike. The Grand Rapids Press Gazette shared this about the concert, “The beginning, middle and end of the Rascal Flatts show were all exceptionally fun and well done.” “Lead singer Gary LeVox has a superb voice that can reach high registers like few other performers in country music today. It’s a remarkable gift,” said the Hamilton Spectator. Billboard.com’s review of the show said, “The trio’s harmonies have only gotten higher and tighter over time, and they took command of the stage from the opening notes and didn’t let loose until the show was over.”

Rascal Flatts is the best-selling country vocal group of the past decade, and the No. 1 debut of their new release, “Changed,” earned them the distinction of being one of only four acts to have seven consecutive studio albums debut in the top spot on the Billboard country albums chart during the Soundscan era. Since its musical debut in 2000, the band has sold more than 21 million albums, 25 million digital downloads and delivered 14 No. 1 singles to the top of the charts. Rascal Flatts is the most awarded Country group of the past decade, earning more than 40 trophies from the American Country Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, American Music Awards, Country Music Association Awards, People’s Choice Awards and more. They are currently nominated for two American Music Awards and four American Country Awards.

Rascal Flatts will extend the Farmers Insurance Presents “Changed Tour” into 2013, kicking off a winter leg on Jan. 10 with special guests The Band Perry.

As previously reported, tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for Rascal Flatts’ Jan. 18 concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center. Ticket prices are set at $24.75, $49.75 and $59.75. Tickets will be available online at www.bokcenter.com, Arby’s Box Office, all Tickets.com outlets, or by calling (866) 7BOKCTR.
