Rascal Flatts honored for selling more than 7 million career concert tickets

Rascal Flatts and the Band Perry Tulsa, OK

Before a sold-out crowd of more than 13,000 fans in Nashville’s Bridgestone arena, Brian O’Connell, president of Live Nation Country Touring, presented Friday night a commemorative ticket to the members of Rascal Flatts to celebrate a touring milestone.

The superstar country band’s ticket sales have reached a new high, with the trio tallying more than 7 million tickets sold. The achievement ranks the band as one of the top-selling country music acts since the Flatts began headlining their own tours in 2004, according to a news release.

Rascal Flatts, which includes Picher-bred guitarist Joe Don Rooney, announced last week that the winter leg of their Farmers Insurance Presents “Changed Tour” will launch Jan. 10 in Green Bay, Wisc. Special guest The Band Perry will join Rascal Flatts for the 2013 leg of the tour.

As previously reported, tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 for Rascal Flatts’ Jan. 18 concert at Tulsa’s BOK Center. Tickets will be available online at www.bokcenter.com, Arby’s Box Office, all Tickets.com outlets, or by calling (866) 7BOKCTR.

Ticket prices for the Tulsa show have not yet been announced.
