Free Guthrie Escape festival features fine art, wine, music and more Saturday-Sunday in historic downtown

GUTHRIE — Take in fine art, wine, live music and more at the Guthrie Escape festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in historic downtown Guthrie.
The free outdoor festival will feature art from more than 30 juried artists whose wares include paintings, sculpture, pottery, glass, wood, metal, fiber and mixed media. Along with the festival booths, downtown shops and galleries will be open for the event.
In addition to the art show and sale, the Guthrie Escape 2012 festival will offer wine tasting from eight regional wineries and an assortment of specialties from local restaurants and live music on two stages. A children’s area, youth arts show and art demonstrations also will be part of the festivities.
