Emmy- and Tony-winning actress Kristin Chenoweth (“Pushing Daisies,” “GCB”) has been cast in a recurring role in Season 4 of “The Good Wife” and will make her debut in September’s season premiere, CBS announced today.
The Broken Arrow native will match wits with both Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Peter (Chris Noth) in her role as a top-of-her-game political reporter who wants to know more about the Florrick campaign and marriage.
Chenoweth received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in the series “Pushing Daisies” and has appeared in the comedy “Glee,” for which she received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. She starred in the recently cancelled series “GCB.”
Currently, Chenoweth is on a North American tour, performing songs from her latest album “Some Lessons Learned,” as well as an array of her most memorable songs and Broadway show tunes, including music from “Wicked,” “Promises Promises” and “Glee.” She just played a hometown concert on the tour Sunday in Broken Arrow.
“The Good Wife,” which stars Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Julianna Margulies, is one of television’s most critically acclaimed dramas. In addition to receiving nine 2011 Primetime Emmy nominations, the most for a broadcast network series, the drama has won or been nominated for multiple awards, including the Peabody Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the People’s Choice Awards.
“The Good Wife” airs at 8 p.m. Sundays on the CBS Television Network.
