Wednesday Video Spotlight: Ester Dean “Let It Grow (Celebrate the World),” from the movie “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax”

Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter/producer and Muskogee native Ester Dean has been busily working on new music.

Check out this video for her new song “Let It Grow (Celebrate the World),” which is featured on the soundtrack of the upcoming feature-length adaptation of “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax,” due in theaters March 2 (that’s the late, great Dr. Seuss’ birthday).

Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, who is best known as the producer behind such hits as Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” has signed on as executive song producer for the soundtrack, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Stewart co-wrote the movie’s single with composer John Powell, screenwriter Cinco Paul, Dean and Aaron Pearce, the trade publication reports.

Look for my review of the 1972 TV special “The Lorax,” now available on Deluxe Edition DVD and Blu-ray, Friday here at BAM’s Blog.
