Rascal Flatts announces track listing for upcoming album “Changed”
Superstar country band Rascal Flatts, which includes Picher-bred guitarist Joe Don Rooney, last month announced that their highly anticipated eighth studio album titled “Changed” will be released April 3. Today, the Academy of Country Music Vocal Group of the Year nominees revealed the new album’s track listing and announced that “Changed” also will be available in a deluxe version that will include four additional bonus tracks. The deluxe version of the album, “Changed Deluxe,” will be available in most retailers on April 3 as well.
The first single from the new album, “Banjo,” was released to country radio just five weeks ago and is already a top 20 hit and climbing. “Banjo” also was released this week as a single on iTunes, where it is now a top 10 single on the iTunes country chart.
For the release of “Changed,” Rascal Flatts has partnered with ‘ZinePak to produce a small-format magazine featuring photos, personal interviews, lyrics and a set of Rascal Flatts guitar picks. The magazine, which includes the “Changed Deluxe” album, will be on sale exclusively at Walmart beginning April 3. Fans can find the magazine in the retailer’s music department, alongside the standard version of “Changed.”
“Change” comes after the Flatts’ first Big Machine Records album release, 2010′s “Nothing Like This,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums chart. The album’s successful release made the Flatts one of only four country acts to debut six consecutive studio albums at No. 1. “Nothing Like This” became a platinum-selling album, featuring two No. 1 hits: “Why Wait” and the platinum-certified single “I Won’t Let Go.” The album also featured the gold-certified hit “Easy” (with pop star Natasha Bedingfield).
Since their musical debut in 2000, the band has sold more than 21 million albums, 25 million digital downloads and delivered 13 No. 1 singles to the top of the charts.
Rascal Flatts is the most awarded country group of the past decade, earning more than 40 trophies from the American Country Awards, Academy of Country Music, American Musica Awards, Country Music Association, People’s Choice Awards and more. As one of the hottest-selling acts on tour in any genre, they’ve sold more than 6 million concert tickets and counting.
Currently, the band is performing across the country on their “Thaw Out Tour,” which earned a slot on CMT’s “Top Tours of 2012,” and on June 15 the trio will kick off a new summer tour, Farmers Insurance presents “The American Band Tour” with Little Big Town, Eli Young Band and Edens Edge.
