I just discovered Bill Wallace's books. I actually read them to my 87year old Mom who lives with me. She was a reader all her life and now she can't read. So, I read to her. She loves his stories. I was so sad to learn that he died just last year. What a gift he was to us all. Thank you, Bill and to Carol and all the family: you surely must know that he will never be forgotten!!

I was saddened to hear of Bill Wallace's death. My children and I loved his books. For years I read them aloud to my two sons. Many times I would have to stop reading because I was either laughing uncontrollably or sobbing. After seeing a display this week in my local library listing Bill Wallace's death date I picked up "Goosed". Loved every minute of it. The literary world has lost a beloved and talented author. My condolences to his family, he must have been a wonderful man.

I just finished sharing "A Dog Called Kitty" and Backward Bird Dog" with my 3rd Grade class. They have been exploring his books since we finished. I am so sad to hear of the loss of such a wonderful kids writer and my prayers go out to his family and friends. Thank you for sharing him with us. What a wonderful man!

My mother taught school with Bill's sister, so when he would have a new book coming out, he'd always come to our school to speak. I knew him as a happy, loving man who always found time to teach something to children. He was kind enough to give personally signed copies of his books to the chidren of the teachers at our school whenever he came. He will be greatly missed.
