ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, HLN anchor Robin Meade and comedian Ron White will serve as co-hosts. HLN will re-air the telecast on at 8 p.m. Sunday.
President Obama will offer a special call-to-action message during the all-star fundraising event, according to CMT.com. CMT One Country, the network’s pro-social initiative, encourages viewers to support those affected by the storms by visiting the American Red Cross website, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
On the home front, Oklahoma country music stars Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton will host a pair of “Tornado Relief Concerts” on May 25-26 at the Choctaw Event Center in Durant. The concerts will raise funds and hope for people affected by last month’s Tushka tornado, which killed two people, injured more than 40 and destroyed 150 homes and businesses. All proceeds from the concerts will go toward Atoka County’s ongoing relief efforts through the Tushka Disaster Relief Fund.
