Carrie Underwood co-writes, records song for “Chronicles of Narnia: Dawn Treader” movie

Oklahoma-born and bred country music superstar Carrie Underwood has co-written and recorded a song for the upcoming film “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader,” reports USA Today.

The song will be released to iTunes Nov. 16, just in time to make it eligible for Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations. However, the title of the song has yet to be revealed.

Due in theaters Dec. 10, “Dawn Treader” is the third movie based on C.S. Lewis’ beloved book series.

Here is the synposis:

Lucy (Georgie Henley) and Edmund Pevensie (Skandar Keynes) return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace (Will Poulter) where they meet up with Prince Caspian (Ben Barnes) for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.
