‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson has real vampire blood in his veins

Maybe he doesn’t just play one in the movies.
According to the AP, Mr. Edward Cullen himself, Robert Pattinson, is a distant relative to brutal Transylvanian leader Vlad III Dracula, also known as Vlad the Impaler. Researchers for Ancestry.com discovered the link.
Vlad was the inspiration for the name of the titular character in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel Dracula. And the rest is history.
Vlad was known for his exceedingly cruel behavior toward battlefield enemies, including impaling them on stakes in the ground and leaving them to die a slow and painful death. Pattinson’s vampiric tendencies include sparkling in the sunshine. It is a very distant link.
