Rascal Flatts to play “American Idol” Wednesday
Rascal Flatts, the decade’s top-selling and most-awarded group in country music, will make its third appearance on the Fox reality singing contest “American Idol” at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The band, which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher, will perform its hit “Unstoppable” and will sing with Shakira on her song “Gypsy.”
Rascal Flatts previously performed on “American Idol”in May of 2005 as the musical guest of Checotah native Carrie Underwood, who won the title that same evening. The band also appeared on the “Idol Gives Back” charity episode in 2007.
