Blake Shelton releasing new album, making TV appearances today

Oklahoma country music star Blake Shelton is building a lot of excitement for his sixth studio album, “Hillbilly Bone,” dropping today, with multiple national TV performances and print features in support of the new album.

Starting this morning, Shelton will appear on several national TV shows, performing the Top 10 title track from the album.

Today, Shelton is performing the fastest-rising single of his career, “Hillbilly Bone,” and co-hosting the 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Award nomination announcement with Reba McEntire on CBS’ “The Early Show.” He then will appear on NBC’s “The Today Show.”

He also will be performing on Fox News Channel’s “FOX & Friends” and appearing on “Hannity’s America” on Wednesday; performing on “Good Day New York” on Thursday; and appearing on E! Entertainment Television’s “Chelsea Lately” in late March.

Shelton will be featured on the cover of Country Weekly and Nashville Lifestyles’ Magazines on stands today. Other print and online highlights include The Oklahoman (along with NewsOK and BAM’s Blog), ACM Tempo, AOL’s The Boot, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, CMA Close-Up, Entertainment Weekly, The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel,  People Magazine, Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia News, Roughstock, Salt Lake Tribune, the9513.com, Toldeo Blade, USA Today, The Washington Post and Yahoo! Music.

Billboard Magazine already did a feature on Shelton’s new album and the new Six Pak strategy (the album will feature six new songs and will be sold for about $6) in its Feb. 13 issue, and US Weekly’s March 8 issue gives “Hillbilly Bone” 3 out of 4 stars .
