Wednesday Video Spotlight: Rascal Flatts’ “Unstoppable: CSI Mix”
Country band Rascal Flatts, which includes guitarist Joe Don Rooney of Picher, will guest star on the television drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” in an episode airing at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 4 on CBS Television.
The band also partnered with CBS to produce a music video for their rapidly rising single “Unstoppable” single, currently No. 17 on Billboard. The video, posted above, incorporates footage from the show. It certainly looks like an action-packed episode.
The episode, filmed in January, is titled “Unshockable.” It has the CSI team investigating an electrical accident during a Las Vegas concert that puts Rascal Flatts bassist Jay DeMarcus in the hospital.
This is not the band’s first foray into television and film. In 2006, Rascal Flatts appeared in an episode of the CBS sitcom “Yes, Dear.” The trio made a cameo in 2009’s “Hannah Montana: The Movie.” Feature music videos have also been developed for the Disney films “Cars” (“Life Is A Highway”) and “The Emperor’s New Groove” (“Walk The Llama Llama”).
