Maggie McClure and Shane Henry playing “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” benefit show Saturday

NORMAN – Oklahoma musicians Maggie McClure and Shane Henry are turning their Saturday night show at Othello’s into an “Extreme Makover: Home Edition” benefit.
The reality TV show’s design team and Ideal Homes of Norman currently are building a home for Lexington family Brian Skaggs, his wife, Audra and their two children, Merit, 5, and Jhett, 3.
Jhett survived a rare and risky heart transplant as an infant. He has made great progress the past two years, but the poor condition of the family’s home poses serious risks to his weakened immune system. Plans to build a new home had to be put on hold when Jhett was about 8 months old and his health started deteriorating.
The Maggie McClure-Shane Henry show will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday at Othello’s, 434 Buchanan Street in Norman. The show is for all ages.
There will be a suggested $10 donation at the door, though attendees can give more or less. All money collected will go to the family, McClure announced on her MySpace. Also, 50 percent of CD sales will go to the family.
Crew from the hit show will be there in support of the event and may be filming.
