Rascal Flatts to attend People’s Choice Awards Wednesday

Country band Rascal Flatts, which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher, has been added to the list of celebrities set to attend the People’s Choice Awards.
The People’s Choice Awards will air from 8 to 10 p.m. Wednesday from the Nokia Theater L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on CBS.
Additional stars from film, TV and music including Jessica Alba, Katie Cassidy, Sacha Baron Cohen, James Denton, Greg Grunberg, Alyson Hannigan, Diane Kruger, Cory Monteith, Jeff Probst, Eli Roth, Christian Slater and Taylor Swift are scheduled to attend the ceremony. The show will also feature a performance by Cobra Starship with special guest Nicole Scherzinger.
CBS previously announced that Oklahoma country star Carrie Underwood would be among the many stars attending the awards show.
Other previously announced stars attending the first awards show of the year include Sandra Bullock, Colbie Caillat, Mariah Carey, Steve Carell, Jackie Chan, Chevy Chase, Kaley Cuoco, Ellen DeGeneres, Jenna Elfman, Johnny Galecki, Ginnifer Goodwin, Tim Gunn, Taraji P. Henson, Josh Holloway, LL COOL J, Hugh Jackman, Ashton Kutcher, Hugh Laurie, Taylor Lautner, George Lopez, Kellan Lutz, Kathryn Morris, Jim Parsons, Paula Patton, Ryan Reynolds, Keith Urban, Sofia Vergara and Kate Walsh. A performance by Mary J. Blige was also previously announced.
In addition, the People’s Choice Awards will preview exclusive sneak peeks of the upcoming blockbusters “Clash of the Titans,” starring Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes and Liam Neeson in the ultimate struggle for power between men and the gods, and the action adventure “Robin Hood,” in which Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett join acclaimed director Ridley Scott and Oscar-winning producer Brian Grazer to tell the story behind the legend. The live show will also debut an exclusive sneak peek of the much- anticipated 20th edition of “Survivor” with a broadcast of the opening minutes of “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains,” which Feb. 11 on CBS.
The People’s Choice Award winners are determined by the fans, and currently the 2010 show has logged in a record-breaking 60 million-plus votes. The categories of Favorite New TV Comedy and Favorite New TV Drama will remain open at www.peopleschoice.com until show night. For comedy, fans can vote for “Accidentally On Purpose,” “The Cleveland Show,” “Cougartown,” “Glee” and “Modern Family.” For drama, the nominees are “Flash Forward,” “The Good Wife,” “NCIS: LOS ANGELES,” “V” and “The Vampire Diaries.”
