Luke Bryan doing 9 shows in 9 days to promote new album

Country singer Luke Bryan is embarking today on a special tour visiting nine cities in nine days to promote his new album.
Bryan set to release his second album, “Doin’ My Thing,” on Tuesday. The album launch will kick-off today in Statesboro, Ga., where Bryan will host his previously announced first-ever Farm Tour show, and the promo tour will wrap in Minneapolis, Minn., on Oct. 14.
On album release date, Bryan will head to Leesburg, Ga., for an exclusive concert that was won by his hometown through an online contest with www.eventful.com. Bryan will perform on his high school football field.
Bryan says in a news release, “The last time I sang on that field, I had written a song for graduation. It will be nostalgic to go back and now play a full show.”
During the intense two-week album promotional tour, Bryan will visit the local radio station in each city, meet and greet fans one-on-one and perform an energetic live show. Here are the dteas and sites:

After wrapping his album launch, Bryan will prepare for his first headline tour, “Doin’ My Thing Tour,” launching on Oct. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla.
In addition, Rhapsody has chosen Bryan as the only country artist featured in their new advertising campaign promoting the new Rhapsody application for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. Bryan’s new album cover is featured along with album covers by Basement Jaxx, Black Eyed Peas, Colbie Callait and Shakira. A commercial highlighting the app on the iPhone will air for four weeks across MTV Networks, including CMT, MTV, VH1, Spike TV, Comedy Central, and other Viacom properties. An accompanying print ad is also scheduled to run in Rolling Stone magazine during the same time.
The Georgia native recently celebrated a No. 1 video for “Do I,” the lead smash single off “Doin’ My Thing.” Bryan had a career-making 2008 with two major award nominations including the CMT Breakthrough Video of the Year nomination and his first nomination from the Academy of Country Music for Best New Male Artist.
He was also chosen as Billboard’s 2007 country artist to watch and landing on “Best of 2007” lists for: Chicago Tribune, Atlanta Journal Constitution, Clear Channel Online Music & Radio to name a few. Bryan has been part of three major tours before this year’s Miller Lite tour with some of country music’s biggest artists in 2008 – Kenny Chesney’s “Poets & Pirates” stadium dates, Trace Adkins’ “American Man” tour and Dierks Bentley’s “Throttle Wide Open” tour.
