61st Primetime Emmy Awards to air Sunday night

The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards will air from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday on CBS. Neil Patrick Harris, who is the current “it” host after presiding over the Tony Awards, will be hosting the Emmys for the first time.

Harris also is nominated for best supporting actor for his always-funny performance as Barney on “How I Met Your Mother.”

Presenters for Sunday’s Emmy Awards will be  Justin Timberlake, Simon Baker, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Kiefer Sutherland, Chandra Wilson, Dana Delany, Jimmy Fallon, Alyson Hannigan, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Stephen Moyer, Jason Segel, Kevin Bacon, Alec Baldwin, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ricky Gervais, Jim Parsons.

Also, Amy Poehler, Kyra Sedgwick, Sigourney Weaver, Kaley Cuoco, Cat Deeley, Johnny Galecki, LL Cool J, Chris O’Donnell, Anna Torv, Kate Walsh, Michael J. Fox, Ellen Burstyn, Jon Cryer, Tracy Morgan, Bob Newhart, Patricia Arquette, David Boreanaz, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Rob Lowe, Hayden Panettiere, Josh Radnor and Cobie Smulders.

The awards show also will include performances  by singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, dance duo Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff, guitarists Dean Parks and Ray Parker Jr., keyboardist Michael Bearden, saxophonist Tom Scott, bassist Darryl Jones and percussionist Lenny Castro.
