Still riding high on the success from her 2008 blockbuster “Twilight,” director Catherine Hardwicke has signed on to tell another supernatural love story.

Variety is reporting that Hardwicke will helm “The Girl With the Red Riding Hood,” a werewolf movie and “gothic retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood story, with a teenage love triangle at its center.”

Though she and Summit Entertainment couldn’t reach an agreement for her to film the highly anticipated “Twilight” sequel “New Moon,” Hardwicke has stayed busy. The trade publication reports she has several other development projects in the works, including “Hamlet,” “21 Jump Street,” “Maxiumum Ride” and “If I Stay,” another film for Summit.
