Tracy Lawrence’s weekend stops in Texas and Oklahoma canceled due to illness

Country artist Tracy Lawrence has been hospitalized this week for treatment for a respiratory infection, according to a news release issued earlier this afternoon.
This illness has forced Lawrence to cancel his scheduled appearance Friday at Cowboys in San Antonio, Texas, and his Saturday show at Riverwind Casino in Norman.
Hospitalized earlier this week in Nashville, Tenn., Lawrence has been diagnosed with early signs of pneumonia, for which he is currently receiving treatment.
“The outpouring of well wishes from friends, family and fans has been overwhelming,” Lawrence said in a statement with the release. “I am taking the time to get healthy, and with your prayers and support, I’m confident that I’ll be back on the road to recovery in the coming days-thanks to all of you!”
Lawrence’s doctor planned to release the singer this afternoon with orders to go home and take it easy for a few days.
Lawrence is hoping to be back on the road by next weekend; his management team is researching options for rescheduling the canceled dates. Ticketholders can watch his Web site, www.tracylawrence.com, for more information.
