Four more added to cast of “Red Dawn” remake

Four more young actors, including the adoptive son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, have been added to the cast of the upcoming “Red Dawn” remake.
Josh Hutcherson, Isabel Lucas, Connor Cruise and Edwin Hodge are joining MGM/UA’s “Red Dawn” remake, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They join previously announced cast members Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki in the remake of 1984 Patrick Swayze action vehicle about a group of teenagers who form an insurgency when their town is invaded. In the new version, the invasion will be by Chinese and Russian soldiers.
Hutcherson (“Journey to the Center of the Earth,” “Bridge to Terabithia”) will take on the role of “tech geek” Robert, the role originated by C. Thomas Howell. Cruise (“Seven Pounds”) will play Daryl, the mayor’s son and Robert’s best buddy.
Lucas (“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”) will play head cheerleader Erica, the role originated by Lea Thompson.
Hodge (“All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”) has been cast as cool kid Danny, the star wide receiver who helps establish the resistance.
The young cast in a few weeks will head off for military training in an undisclosed location. The “Red Dawn” revamp is set for 2010 release.

China and Russia wont need to invade considering Obama will
turn the USA into the USSA. He will do it one step at a time. He’ll continue to give free health care and benefits to illegals while americans continue to lose their homes, their jobs,their health, everything. All part of the Obamaplan. Anyway for this remake China and Russia are perfect for the invaders. This movie should be good.
the only person who will be convincing is hutcherson who is an extrememly intense actor. he was able to bring tears to peoples eyes while saying less than 20 lines in FRAGMENTS and being silent. kidman-cruise i believe will prove himself as well
Let’s be real. None of these young Hollywood actors have the skill and experience to take on the roles of the original actors. Once again Hollywood has placed inexperienced good looking actors/ actresses to ruin another great movie. Everyone knows Connor got the upper hand due to daddy’s personal connections and an experienced actor was shot down once again. I’m sure cameos will be strategically placed within the film by the likes of Charlie Sheen, Lea Thompson, and others. A box office flop is about to be filmed! I hope all the original actors/ actresses will turn down the offers and continue to build their careers.
