Video: Jeff Goldblum verifies reports of his own death on “Colbert Report”

The midst of the mourning the same-day deaths of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett last week, rumors started swirling online – particularly on Twitter – that actor Jeff Goldblum had fallen to his death in New Zealand.
The Twitter rumor mill kept right on cranking even as reliable media outlets remained silent and good sources refuted the apparent prank.
Credit the still-alive Goldblum for having a sense of humor about the exaggerated reports of his demise: He appeared on “The Colbert Report” to interrupt Stephen Colbert’s obituary of him. In classic Colbert fashion, the hilarious TV hosts manages to convince Goldblum that he really is dead.
I love this video, not just Goldblum’s hysterial self-eulogizing but Colbert’s relatable and humorous interpretation of Twitter terminology. Check out the video, which I found at Cinematical:
