Toby Keith’s sixth annual golf and music fundraising weekend benefiting Ally’s House raised more than half a million dollars to help children with cancer and their families in Keith’s native Oklahoma, according to a news release issued today by Keith’s publicist.

The $550,000 raised at this year’s Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic brings the to-date total for the event to nearly $3 million.

During the golf outing, Kelsey Cline won the Built Ford Tough Shootout
and a new Ford F-150 truck.

The dinner, music and auction gathering saw several big-ticket items drawing huge bids. A dinner party for 20 with Keith earned not one bid of $32,500 but two.

The Alaskan Adventure with “Deadliest Catch” star and boat captain Sig Hansen brought in $13,000, and a Costa Rica getaway to the Four
Seasons drew a $19,000 bid.

More than 40 sports and music celebrities were in attendance.

Named for the late daughter of a former bandmate of Keith’s, Ally’s House helps families with children in treatment for cancer meet their medical, pharmacy and household expenses as they deal with one of life’s most difficult challenges. Hundreds of Oklahoma families have already benefited from the care and support given by Ally’s House.

I’ll have more information on the fundraiser and Ally’s House, including quotes from Toby and Ally’s House Executive Director Linda Webb, on Thursday.
