Jamey Johnson, Boyz II Men, Black Stone Cherry and more will be among the musical stars performing free shows during the Oklahoma State Fair.

The fair will be Sept. 17-27 at Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City.

As I reported here earlier this month, rockers the Black Crowes will play the fair on Sept. 24 at Jim Norick State Fair Arena. Tickets went on sale today and can be purchased at www.tickets.com. They are $30 and include outside gate admission to the fair.

The Crowes hits include “She Talks to Angels,” “Jealous Again” and “Hard to Handle.” They will release a special new two-CD package titled “Before the Frost … Until the Freeze” on Sept. 1.

The fair also includes concerts during the PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour, and this year, .38 Special and Gary Allan are on the bill.

After the rodeo action on Sept. 25, Southern rockers .38 Special will perform their hits, including ”Hold On Loosely,” “Caught Up in You” and “Fantasy Girl.” On Sept. 26, Allan take will follow the rodeo, and the country heartthrob will play “Watching Airplanes,” “Tough Little Boys,” ”Nothing On but the Radio” and more.

In addition, free headlining performances at the Toyota Concert Stage will provide musical entertainment throughout the fair.

According to this NewsOK story, the headliners will include Jamey Johnson (Sept. 17), Jackyl (Sept. 18), Candy Coburn and Chuck Wicks (Sept. 19), V Factory and Joey Page (Sept. 20), the Afters and Fireflight (Sept. 21) the National Elvis Extravaganza (Sept. 22-23), the Centennial Rodeo Opry (Sept. 24), Boyz II Men (Sept. 25), Black Stone Cherry (Sept. 26) and “American Rock ‘n’ Roll,” a tribute to Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and ZZ Top (Sept. 27).
