The CMT Music Awards will air live from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday night from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn., and you can follow along with the festivities here at BAM’s Blog.

That’s right, I’ll once again be live-blogging as the fan-voted awards are handed out. The show will air on CMT and CMT.com.

Several Oklahoma stars are nominated for awards, including Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts (which includes Joe Don Rooney of Picher), Brooks & Dunn (which includes Tulsan Ronnie Dunn) and Reba McEntire.

Hosted by actor-comedian Bill Engvall, the awards show will include performances by Keith, Rascal Flatts, Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Darius Rucker, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban and Def Leppard. Additionally, Jason Michael Carroll, the Carter Twins, Eric Church, the Eli Young Band, Gloriana and Joey & Rory will appear on the Nationwide Insurance performance stage.

Country stars Rodney Atkins, Billy Currington, Julianne Hough, Naomi Judd, Martina McBride, Lee Ann Womack, CMT’s Katie Cook and Lance Smith, rap and R&B artist T-Pain, “Dancing With the Stars” champions Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas, “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, “The O’Reilly Factor”’s Bill O’Reilly, actor Luke Wilson, rockers Kid Rock and Ted Nugent will serve as presenters at the awards show.

I honestly don’t know who or what is going on with these award shows anymore, but when Taylor Swift takes both the female and the video of the year award ummmm it do make me wonder, and I am quite sure I am not alone.
I voted for Toby Keith, he is so amazing, we saw him in concert for the first time ever, I promise we’ll never ever forget the amazing exsperience as long as we both shall live, he is incredible, and God knows he sure doesn’t get the dues he deserves. It is so sad really why bother to watch when you know its fixed, I am serious I thought when I voted it was a real vote, now I feel as though it was a total waste of time, I don’t for a minute believe that the fans pick the winners, if they did theres no possible way the video of the year would’ve went to Taylor not with the videos she was up against. It was odd too, when her name was called it was as though she already knew she had won. She made a statement at the ACM’s that she hoped this next time around they would have the EOTY fan voted, she is this sure she will be nominated and also feels with her fan base she will win, if they do decide to do that again, you can be assured we won’t be watching, they are turning all of the award shows into a total joke in our opo’s. Oklahoma has produced nothing but awesome talent and few are even acknowledged, it is discpicable in our opo. These artists work really hard, and if its to be like this why bother to show up at all. Thank-you for allowing me to voice my opo.

Carrie Underwood is my favorite country artist and I’m glad that she had a couple of wins. She’s so humble and down to earth. Thats one of the things that I really like about her. I’m not a big fan of Taylor Swift though, and…something i don’t understand all of the success she’s having.
