The voluminous dress worn by Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April is on display starting today at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum in Nashville, Tenn.Checotah’s favorite daughter wore the dress on the awards show when she performed her hit “I Told You So.”
The grand dress was created by Miami-based fashion designer Rafael Cennamo. The merlot gown, which was kept a secret before the awards show, dwarfed the slim singer with its 120 yards of fabric and 8-foot-long train.
A text panel with it lists Underwood’s career achievements and particulars about the gown.
Entrance to the exhibit, titled ”Carrie Underwood: All-American Girl,” will be included with regular museum admission and remain on display through Dec. 31.For more information, go to www.countrymusichalloffame.com.
