Bonus Video Spotlight: Stardeath and White Dwarfs, Kings of Leon
Check out a couple of new music videos from bands with Oklahoma ties who are in the news this week.
First, view Oklahoma City-based Stardeath and White Dwarfs’ video for “New Heat.” The song is from the alt-rock band’s debut album on Warner Bros. Records, “The Birth,” which hit stores Tuesday.
The band, along with Flaming Lip Wayne Coyne (the uncle of Stardeath frontman Dennis Coyne), filmed the video in the Little Sahara Desert in northwest Oklahoma. You can get a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot in this YouTube video:
Then, watch "Notion," the latest music video from alt-rockers Kings of Leon. The band is made up of three Followill brothers and a Followill cousin, and two of them were born in Oklahoma. The band announced this week that they will play a show in October at Oklahoma City's Ford Center, which currently is getting a remodel.
