Today’s featured event:
Catch a movie, panel discussion or party at the ninth annual deadCenter Film Festival that starts today in various locations in downtown Oklahoma City.
The kick-off party will be at 7:30 tonight at the Film Exchange Building, 700 Sheridan. The festival will start at 9 tonight with a screening of Oklahoma filmmaker Bradley Beesley’s documentary “Sweethearts of the Prison Rodeo” at N Lee and W Sheridan avenues. (The film will show again 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, 415 Couch Drive.)
The festival runs through 2 p.m. Sunday and will showcase more than 100 films.
