Rascal Flatts Week on BAM’s Blog

Joe Don Rooney, guitarist for country trio Rascal Flatts, is returning to his old stomping grounds in the northeast corner of Oklahoma this weekend.
His multi-platinum-selling band will perform a show Friday night at Buffalo Run Casino Amphitheatre in Miami. From the stage, you can apparently view the chat piles in Rooney’s hometown of Picher, a mere three miles away.
Last week, I was one of just a few Oklahoma and Missouri reporters invited to participate in an in-depth conference call with Rooney, who was eager to talk to us about his music, his 1-year-old son Jagger and this weekend’s homecoming.
In honor of his triumphant return, I’m declaring it Rascal Flatts Week here at BAM’s Blog, and I’ll be posting information, photos, videos and pieces of that great interview throughout the week, leading up to Friday’s big show.

RASCAL FLATTS ROCKED OUR SOCKS OFF OUT AT BUFFALO RUN. IT WAS A MUDD FEST, BUT THAT DID NOT DETOUR THE FLATTS FANS!
THE SOUND WAS GREAT AND THE ENERGY PHENOMINAL! THESE BOYS GIVE THEIR WHOLE HEARTS EVERY TIME. I JUST WANT JAY AND GARY TO KEEP IN MIND OKLAHOMA LOVES THEM SOME ROONEY, ALONG WITH THE EXTENDED FAMILY OF RASCAL FLATTS. EACH OF THESE YOUNG MEN ARE GRACED WITH AMAZING TALENT. THERE IS NOTHING WEAK ABOUT THIS TRIO!!! I HAVE FOLLOWED JAY WITH JOEDON SINCE THE CHEYLE WRIGHT DAYS, I MENTIONED THAT TO JAY AFTER THE SHOW AND IT WAS LIKE, MAN THAT WAS TEN YEARS AGO, AND STILL LOVING THEM. ALWAYS KAREN TURNER
