The song that has been on my brain the most this week:
- “Turf’s Up,” Brad Paisley, from his 2008 album “Play.”
No words are necessary to enjoy the country star’s take on the energetic ‘60s surf groove. “Turf’s Up” is one of the many guitar-driven instrumental tracks on “Play,” which only has about four songs with lyrics.
Paisley undoubtedly is one of the best guitarists in music today – not just country music, but in all genres – and he really shows off his skills here and on all of “Play.”
