Miranda Lambert raises $120,000 for Texas humane society

Oklahoma country music star Miranda Lambert recently raised $120,000 for the Humane Society of East Texas at her Cause for the Paws event in Tyler, Texas, according to CMT.com.
The second annual Cause for the Paws included a wine tasting and a concert featuring Lambert, her Oklahoma sweetheart/fellow country star Blake Shelton, Kasey Musgraves and Adam Hood.
Lambert hails from nearby Lindale, Texas. She still has a house there but not makes her home on a ranch in Tishomingo near Shelton’s acreage.
She keeps many animals on her ranch and is a longtime supporter of efforts to help abused, abandoned and neglected animals. Earlier this year, she and Shelton performed a benefit concert that raised $70,000 to build an animal shelter in Tishomingo.
