New releases
Joss Whedon’s brilliant and hilarious “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” came out on DVD today. The DVD features numerous bonus features, including ”Commentary! The Musical,” which sounds just fabulous.
On CD, Elvis Costello released his latest CD, “Secret, Profane and Sugarcane,” today. He and the musicians from the CD, the Sugarcanes, will play Sept. 3 at Tulsa’s Cain’s Ballroom.
In the books category, Oscar-nominated writer/director/producer Guillermo del Toro and collaborator Chuck Hogan released “The Strain,” the first in a planned trilogy of thriller novels about a battle between man and vampire.
