CMT Music Awards final nominees announced

The final nominees for the 2009 CMT Music Awards were announced in a special this morning on CMT. Through fan voting, most of the categories were narrowed to four final nominees. More than 2.5 million votes were cast to narrow the field, according to CMT.com.

Oklahomans competing for awards include Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire and Carrie Underwood.

The CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville, Tenn., on June 16 on CMT. Fan voting resumes through June 15 at www.CMT.com.

The final nominees for the top award, video of the year, will be announced at the beginning of the live awards show telecast on June 16.
