Foo Fighters: They’re very, very loud, and that’s very, very good.
The song that has been on my brain the most this week:
- “The Pretender,” the Foo Fighters, from their 2007 album “Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace.”
All of us in life encounter people who aren’t truthful and who wish us ill, often for reasons we don’t even quite understand. When this happens, I recommend listening to this song on high volume, rocking out very, very hard to Dave Grohl and Co. and then moving on. People don’t change unless they really want to, and unfortunately, many seem perfectly content being unhappy and unpleasant.
So, crank up “The Pretender” and experience 4 1/2 minutes of Grammy Award-winning therapy. And then go on with your life.
That’s my advice, and I shall try to follow it, too.

I experienced that 4 1/2 minutes of a Grammy Award-winning performance at The Grammy’s outside of Staple’s Center. It was a long hot day for 4 1/2 minutes of awesomeness and I’d do it again. Excellent advice my friend!
