Please substitute Oklahoma House for Soviet and Oklahoma for Russia, and you describe what the Soviet Union was. However, communism is still alive in many parts of the world. Throughout South America, socialism is growing and you have the liks of Hugo Chavez creep up (and his silencing of media, critics, etc). China's communist party still uses the Hammer & Sickle for their flag. You stated that communism is "long gone", but I wonder if you would be saying the same thing had he wore a Swastika t-shirt, since the Third Reich is "long gone". I do agree that some things the Oklahoma House does many stupid things. I disagree with republicans on most social issues. However, their objections were justified in this situation.
