Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts among CMT Music Awards performers

Country music’s biggest stars, including Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift will rock Nashville’s Sommet Center during the 2009 CMT Music Awards. The fan-voted awards show will air June 17 on CMT and CMT.com.
Keith was born in Clinton, raised in Moore and lives in Norman. Rascal Flatts includes guitarist Joe Don Rooney, who hails from Picher.
Tickets to the eighth annual awards show honoring country music’s elite will go on sale at 10 a.m. May 2.
Ticket prices start at $25 and will go up to $99 for a ticket package that includes a seat on the red carpet, as well as the main show. Tickets will be available at the Sommet Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (800) 745-3000, online at www.CMT.com and www.ticketmaster.com.
Fan voting for the 2009 CMT Music Awards is underway continues through May 11, only at www.CMT.com, where fans will select the top nominees in each of the categories. On May 19, CMT will announce the four finalists in each of the categories, except Video of the Year.
Fans can then vote online at www.CMT.com through June 15 to determine the winners of the 2009 CMT Music Awards. The final nominees for Video of the Yearwill be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can vote at CMT.com throughout the live broadcast (ET/CT only) to determine the night’s big winner.
