On Sunday at the 2009 American Country Music Awards, everything about Carrie Underwood was big, from her wins to her dress.   Her amazing voice was surpassed only by the amazing amount of fabric in the ruby red dress she wore while performing her cover of the Randy Travis hit “I Told You So.”

She had changed into a short, layered white frock by the time she was named the winner of the top award, Entertainer of the Year, or she wouldn’t have been able to get up to the stage to accept.

She was the first female act to win entertainer of the year at the ACM Awards since the Dixie Chicks did it back in 2000.  She is also only the seventh female artist to win the award, after Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Barbara Mandrell, fellow Oklahoman Reba McEntire, Shania Twain, and the Dixie Chicks.

Underwood also took home Top Female Vocalist of the year.
