Willie Nelson to open Dave Matthews Band’s Tulsa show

Willie Nelson and Family will be joining Dave Matthews Band for three concerts, including the Oct. 2 show at Tulsa’s BOK Center, the venue announced today.
Nelson is a living country legend known for his versatile, eclectic music with his classic ballads like “Always On My Mind,” autobiographical road songs like “On the Road Again” and catchy rhythms like “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.”
During his long career, Nelson has written more than 2,500 songs, released close to 300 albums and received numerous awards and honors.
Dave Matthews Band is internationally known for its annual summer-long, cross country tours. They are also one of the Top 100 highest-selling music acts of all time, having sold more than 31 million units in the United States. The band is set to release its new album on June 2. It will be titled “Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King.”
Tickets for the Dave Matthews Band/Willie Nelson show will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 14 for $65. They will be available at www.bokcenter.com, area Reasor’s and Homeland stores, the Arby’s Box Office or by phone at (866) 7BOKCTR.
