Filming starts later this month in Oklahoma on movie version of “The Killer Inside Me”

The Oklahoman/NewsOK Entertainment Editor Gene Triplett is reporting that filming will begin March 23 on a major movie that will be shot in Oklahoma City, Guthrie, Tulsa, Enid and Cordell.

Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba are set to star in “The Killer Inside Me,” a crime thriller based on the 1950s pulp novel written by Oklahoma-born author Jim Thompson.

The film will be directed by British helmer Michael Winterbottom, whose previous projects include “A Mighty Heart,” “24 Hour Party People” and “Jude.”

Local casting for extras starts this weekend.

The story says: Casting for extras will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at Guthrie Junior High School, 700 E Oklahoma in Guthrie, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Washita County Activity Center, 700 E Third Street in Cordell.
