Trace Adkins joins Toby Keith’s summer tour

Fresh from his 25th No. 1 single, Oklahoma country music star Toby Keith, his band and crew are saddling up for “America’s Toughest Tour.”
And the lineup will be tough to top, with star crooner Trace Adkins now on the bill, according to a news release.
The tour, which continues Keith’s long association with concert promoter Live Nation, opens June 18 in Holmdel, N.J., with stops planned in Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Indianapolis, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Raleigh, Salt Lake City, and many more.
For Keith, the “America’s Toughest Tour” is the latest in a succession of standing-room-only treks as a headliner, and supports his latest chart-topping album “That Don’t Make Me A Bad Guy.”
The album’s most recent single, “God Love Her,” recently hit No. 1 on all the major country singles charts, marking the 25th time the Norman resident has reached the milestone. Additionally, performing rights organization BMI recently announced that Keith’s catalog has topped 60.5 million domestic airplay performances as a songwriter.
Adkins isn’t just one of country music’s most successful performers, he’s also one of its most recognizable faces. With hits ranging from “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” to “You’re Gonna Miss This” and his current top-20-and-climbing hit “Marry For Money,” he’s earned several gold and platinum albums. And with continuing high-profile media appearances that included a long run to the final round of Donald Trump’s first “Celebrity Apprentice,” reality show, he continues to win new fans.
