Dave Matthews Band coming to Tulsa’s BOK Center
The Dave Matthews Band will play Oct. 2 at Tulsa’s BOK Center, the venue announced today.
According to Spin.com, the band announced today a huge North American tour this summer in support of their as-yet-untitled seventh studio album, due out June 2.
The 63-date tour kicks off April 14 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and will continue across the U.S. and Canada. The Oct. 2 Tulsa date is the last on the slate.
Many different acts are set to open for the Dave Matthews Band, including the Roots, the Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, Switchfoot and the Hold Steady, according to Spin.com. It wasn’t clear today which opening act will play the Tulsa show.
Tickets for the Tulsa show will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 14. They will be available online at www.livenation.com or www.bokcenter.com, at all Ticket.com outlets or by phone at (866) 7BOKCTR. A service charge will be added to each ticket price. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.
Fan club pre-sales start at 5 p.m. Thursday-11 p.m. March 2.
Jeff Coffin, a member of the Grammy-winning band Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, will tour the band in the place of sax player LeRoi Moore, according to www.jeffcoffin.com. Moore died in August 2008 from complications of injuries sustained in an ATV accident.
