Video Spotlight: Super Bowl 43 recap
The historic matchup between the Arizona Cardinals, who were making their first Super Bowl appearance in franchise history, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were working to set a record number of Super Bowl wins for a franchise, was definitely worth watching, ending with two big drives and a thrilling victory for Pittsburgh. I felt bad for the Cardinals and Kurt Warner, but happy for my brother-in-law, a raving Steelers fan. Plus, it was a great game, and that’s what counts. (Check out the two big fourth-quarter drives in this clip from YouTube.)
At halftime, Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band, who last week announced their spring concert date in Tulsa, put on a great show, posted here in two parts, courtesy YouTube.
Of course, in between plays, the Super Bowl always offers an array of entertaining and often baffling commercials and movie spots. Here are some of the highlights, also embedded her courtesy YouTube.
Movie spots
Naturally, I forgot to take my 3D glasses to my mother-in-law’s Super Bowl party, but I liked the ”Monsters vs. Aliens” spot anyway:
“Star Trek”:
“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”:
“Up”:
“G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”:
“Land of the Lost”:
“Year One”:
