Oklahoma country music star Blake Shelton has reached the top of the charts, R&R Singles and MediaBase Singles, with his heart-wrenching single “She Wouldn’t Be Gone,” written by Cory Batten and Jennifer Adan.

The song marks Shelton’s second consecutive No. 1 - following his hit “Home” – and his fifth career No. 1, along with “Austin,” “The Baby” and ”Some Beach.” Collectively, his chart-toppers have held the No. 1 spot for 15 weeks.

“She Wouldn’t Be Gone” is the first single from Shelton’s most recent release, “Startin’ Fires,” and was also No. 1 on the MusicRow Singles chart the last two weeks of 2008.

Last week, Shelton made an appearance on E! Networks “Chelsea Lately,” performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and superstar George Strait announced Shelton would be on his summer tour.
