Oklahoma bands to be featured at SXSW

The excellent and always informative Oklahoma Rock Newsblog reports that seven state bands, including a couple of my personal favorites, are included on the list of Official Showcasing Bands for 2009 at the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, Texas.
The seven bands that will be featured:
• The City Lives
• Colourmusic
• Crocodile
• Other Lives
• Samantha Crain & the Midnight Shivers
• Stardeath and White Dwarfs
• The Uglysuit
The event will be March 18-22 and will showcase hundreds of bands and solo performers from around the world playing on more than 80 stages around downtown Austin. More Oklahoma talents may be added to the roster as the event gets closer.
